Last week, we released our groundbreaking new economic recovery report, Build(ing) the Future: Bold Policies for a Gender-Equitable Recovery, and outlined the policies and programs needed at the federal and state levels to build an economy and society that uplifts women and families.

Following the report launch, we hosted a virtual release event, Build(ing) the Future: A Symposium on the Policies we need for an Equitable Future for Women & Families, with community leaders including Rep. Brenda Lawrence; Fatima Goss Graves, National Women's Law Center; Lauren Kennedy, Neighborhood Villages; Shilpa Phadke, Center for American Progress; and Liz Shuler, AFL-CIO to discuss the impact of supports such as child care and paid leave in our communities.
A central feature of our report was telling the stories of real women affected by the recession. Throughout the week, we highlighted their stories and how to help them on our digital platform In the Lead.
