Team – We had to wait a little bit to confirm, but it’s official: We have elected the strongest gun safety administration in American history in President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris! Joe and Kamala are committed to prioritizing gun safety – and so are many other candidates who won big last week. We held our House Majority and are sending gun sense candidates back to Washington to continue the critical work started in 2018. But control of the Senate is still up for grabs. There are TWO runoff elections set for January in Georgia. If we can flip these two seats in Georgia, the Senate will stand at 50 Democrats and 50 Republicans – and Vice President Kamala Harris will break the tie!! Our entire progressive agenda is on the line in January. Without a Democratic Senate, there is NO CHANCE universal background checks, an assault weapons ban, or any of the other gun safety proposals in the Biden/Harris plans will get out of Mitch McConnell’s graveyard.
