I know we're all exhausted from so much activity and the challenges of this past year - but wherever we are, we need to pay attention to our inner lives as well as external pressures and opportunities.
So as we move toward the end of the year, The Porch is inviting you to a short 5-week online course about the whole journey of a life, from birth through youth, middle age, elderhood, and death.
Led by two beloved teachers: contemplative author and poet Kathleen Norris and Irish storyteller and peace activist Gareth Higgins, It's a Beautiful Day: A Whole Life in Five Movies aims to take life seriously without taking ourselves more seriously than we should!
Together we'll use five films to reflect on what it is to be human, how to recognize the moment we're in, to discern what we're here for, and how to ask for help.
It starts next Monday, November 16th, and we hope you'll join us.
Whatever is unfolding for you with the election, or regarding the pandemic, or in the quietness of your own spirit, we offer this course as a bit of medicine and inspiration toward more connection, creativity, and courage to live better.
The course starts next Monday,November 16th, and runs for five sessions only, on Mondays from 7-8.30pm Eastern (all sessions are recorded so if you can't make the live class you can watch or listen later).
