When founding Go for Broke for Vets, Mark Takano, Chair of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, was inspired by his great uncle's World War II combat team and their slogan of “Go for Broke.”

Their troop, the only Japanese-American one in the war, were always ready to go all-out in the line of duty to our country.

Our soldiers have proven themselves to be brave, courageous, and masters of working for their teammates. On this Veterans Day, we pause to thank them for their service to our country.

But more importantly, we should turn our words of gratitude into action. Not just thanking our veterans, but doing something to help them. So take time today and every day to take a stand for the people who protect our country.

Here at Go for Broke for Veterans, we’re proud to fight to give veterans representation and true advocacy in the halls of Congress. We face challenges in the years to come, but we know we’ll keep up our fight with you at our side.

We thank you for staying with us in the long fight.

We here at Go for Broke for Veterans are dedicated to fighting for our nation’s heroes. Founded by Democratic members of the House’s Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, the goal of Go for Broke for Vets is to fight back against Trump and his allies' attempts to undercut the work the committee does to help our vets. Your support is critical to ensuring that we can elect more members of Congress to support our veterans.

Contribute here to support the critical work GB4V is doing to empower veterans.
