Based on eyewitness testimony, a woman named Bonnie Nave has been charged with cruelty to animals for kicking a mother duck several times on September 1st so that her dogs could kill her duckling, which they did, as the mother duck tried desperately to protect her duckling from the attack.

Politely ask State Attorney Bernie McCabe, Chief Prosecuting Officer for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida, to prosecute Bonnie Nave for animal cruelty under Florida statute 828.12, which states that

(1) a person who unnecessarily mutilates, or kills any animal, or causes the same to be done, commits animal cruelty; and (2) a person who intentionally commits an act to any animal, or who owns or has custody or control of any animal and fails to act, which results in the cruel death, or excessive or repeated infliction of unnecessary pain or suffering, commits aggravated animal cruelty.
