While the Presidential election may be over, our work isn’t done yet.

In Georgia, we’ve seen a massive blue wave thanks to organizers like Stacey Abrams who helped to register and mobilize over 800,000 voters. Now, Georgia has the opportunity to elect two people first champions to flip the Senate.

Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff are running against Trump Republican Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. Georgia is in play as a swing state for the first time since 1992, so we need to make sure we don’t take this moment for granted.

You may recognize the names Loeffler and Perdue because both Senators came under fire earlier this year for their “pandemic profiteering.” Instead of urging Donald Trump to alert the public about the imminent coronavirus and build a strategy to contain it, they used their insider knowledge to build their stock portfolios and get richer to the detriment of our public health.

Gaining these two seats would ensure the Biden-Harris administration has the allies they need in the Senate to get critical work done, including the administration’s first priority of controlling the coronavirus pandemic.
