Dear Friends,

Today marks one year since I was elected Mayor of Knoxville and I want to say thank you. Thank you for supporting my campaign, trusting my vision for Knoxville, and voting for me last November.

There’ve been a few unexpected challenges these first 10 months in office, e.g. a global pandemic, a malware attack, and our country's reckoning with systemic racism. While addressing these crises, we’re also pushing forward with campaign promises, and I am happy to share that we have established the Mayor's Climate Council, increased investment in affordable housing, and equipped our police officers with body-worn cameras.

I love being your Mayor. I look forward to working hard the next 3 years to make Knoxville a more just, equitable, and sustainable city.
