I am honored and proud to be returning to the U.S. House as your representative here in Rhode Island’s First District.

Votes are still being counted around the nation and there's a lot that is still too close to call. Things look good – but as expected, counting votes is taking longer this year than it has before.

No matter what Donald Trump says, the counting taking longer is a sign that our system is working. Every vote must be counted, and we are willing to wait!

But I’m so excited to be heading back to Congress for another term. We have a lot of work to do!

And I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work to provide relief to families and businesses as we weather this next phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m eager to make healthcare more affordable and accessible – pandemic or no pandemic! We need to take urgent action on climate change and gun violence. And there’s a lot to do to shore up our institutions and hold bad actors accountable for their corruption.

But in the meantime, we’ll be patient and wait for every single vote to be counted. I’ll be in touch soon with more.
