Friend --

The race for Texas' 24th Congressional District is too close to call.

Thousands of ballots have been counted across this district, and we now only trail Beth Van Dunye by a mere 1.4%. It's critical that we make sure every vote is counted and every voice is heard.

Since the polls closed last night, we've seen Vice President Joe Biden close significant gaps as more ballots have been counted. Similarly, we estimate the over 30,000 ballots remain uncounted in our race.

We must allow the Democratic process play out, so we are setting up an account to prepare for a recount to make sure every vote is counted fairly. Can you chip in a donation to make sure every vote is counted in TX-24?

No matter the outcome, I want you to know how proud I am to have the incredible support of this grassroots team.

You believed in us when people called this campaign a long shot, and thanks to your dedication and belief in our shared values -- we still have a shot to flip this longtime Republican stronghold.

This isn’t over. Please chip in a donation of $10 or more to keep this campaign running up until every vote is counted and the results are finalized >>

Thanks for your support,

Candace Valenzuela
