NBWA releases Beer Purchasers' Index for October 2020

The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) released the Beer Purchasers' Index (BPI) for October 2020, and the data shows early signs of settling back to normal. The total BPI for October 2020 rose to 76 from 70 for October 2019. Read the full press release for more details on the report.

Capital Eagle launches charity campaign to support Washington, D.C.

This week, Capital Eagle announced the start of its 'Fill the BUDweiser Truck' campaign. Between Nov. 4 and 21, the family-owned beer wholesaler's trucks will collect food, clothes and toiletries from area residents to donate to local groups. "At Capital Eagle, we have a longstanding tradition of giving back to the families in the communities in which we work and live," said Neal Katcef, CEO of Capital Eagle.

Can you buy alcohol on Election Day?

There have been no Election Day alcohol restrictions in the contiguous U.S. since 2014, when South Carolina joined the rest of the Lower 48. When Prohibition ended in 1933, it was common for many states to prohibit alcohol sales on Election Day, and similar restrictions are in place in countries around the world.
