Friend,

I’m about to ask you to donate to help make history in the deep south, but first, let me explain why your support is so important.

In just 50 days, Mississippi will elect a new Attorney General, and with the current Democratic AG running for governor, this seat is up for grabs. It’s a tough race, but luckily Mississippi has an incredible candidate running that you need to know about.

Democrat Jennifer Riley Collins is running to become the first African American woman ever elected to statewide office in Mississippi and its first African American Attorney General. She served our country as an intelligence officer in the Army for 32 years. When she left active duty, she became a civil rights lawyer, and eventually the executive director of the Mississippi ACLU.

She’s also a mother to her three sons who she raised to understand the importance of giving back to their communities. One is a principal, one is a teacher, and one is studying business management in college. Jennifer knows what it means to give back and inspire others to do the same.

As a lawyer, I respect her commendable career, and as an American, I am grateful for her years of service protecting our freedoms.

I know how important a state Attorney General is to not just his or her constituents but to the whole country. There is incredible strength in numbers and we need Democratic Attorneys General in office all across the country to ensure that Americans regardless of where they live are protected under the law.

During her career, Jennifer has protected voting rights and led the fight for much needed criminal justice reform. That’s why she will be a great Attorney General, and why Republicans are going to everything they can to stop her.

So, I’m asking you directly, can I count on you to donate today and help Jennifer make history in Mississippi? Click here to give to Jennifer Riley Collins’ historic campaign for attorney general and help her shatter the glass ceiling in the deep south.

Thank you,

Attorney General Karl A. Racine
