Representation matters — and now more than ever, we must stand up for each other.

That’s why I’m proud to have created Representation Matters, an effort to change the face of power. Right now, 18 women of color — including Xochitl Torres Small in New Mexico, Candace Valenzuela in Texas, and Lucy McBath in Georgia, and more — are either up for re-election or are running for the very first time and need our help. Your support can help these women maintain and build on our House majority!

John, it’s no secret that systemic racism is rooted at the very center of our country. From the judicial system to education to healthcare — racism has been harming communities of color for centuries.

The only way to address this harm, right the wrong of our nation’s past, heal, and make sure our country is on a brighter path toward the future is to address it head-on.

The only way to do that is the elect leaders that are as diverse as the country they represent.

But right now, women of color only make up 9% of the 535 seats in Congress. I don’t know about you John, but in 2020 — I think it’s time for that to change.

So, if you’re with me, will you rush a split contribution to help these women of color win their tough, winnable races? Representation matters — and it’s about time Congress looks more like the communities they serve.
