To the employees of DCS:
I thought it was important that I write to you all and tell you about my intentions if I’m elected tomorrow.
The most important thing I want to tell you is that I realize the abundance of talent, resources, and perseverance among the team members at DeSoto County Schools and what an honor it would be to work along side you.
As a DCS parent and professor, I’ve interacted with many of you over the years, and so I know the hard work and dedication which is a hallmark of our school system.
Secondly, I am not looking to make any hasty changes or decisions from the board. After all, so much of DCS’s success is dependent on your hard work, dedication, and passion. If I’m fortunate enough to be hired as your next School Board member, I will make my own evaluations of our processes after I have the opportunity to meet and work with the Superintendent and as many DCS employees and parents as I can.
I want you to be confident that every deserving teacher and team member will have my full support and the opportunity at competitive wages and future growth and development.
Finally, I will always be open and transparent with each of you and I would like to motivate you to do the same in return. I want to hear your concerns, ideas, and what you believe could be done differently or better on the challenges and opportunities we face.
I am looking forward to doing a lot of listening. Hopefully you will give me the opportunity to work along side you and help raise the bar even higher.
