Jefferson City News Tribune even said that a Democrat challenger would
have an "uphill battle."

Elizabeth Warren Dodges Question About Tax Hikes on Middle Class

What Happened:

During the Democratic Debate Thursday night in Houston, Sen. Elizabeth
Warren was asked if she would acknowledge that Medicare For All requires
tax hikes on American families. Spoiler alert: She didn't answer the
question.

Why You Should Care:

If taxes are going to go up and individuals are going to be forced off
their private insurance plans, Americans have a right to know. Sen.
Warren has said she supports Bernie Sanders' Medicare for All plan -
which the Vermont senator admits will do both those things.

What Happens Next:

Chances are that Sen. Warren will continue to push for a government
takeover of health care without offering specifics on how she'd pay
for it.
