Dear Friend,

In the final week before the election, it’s critical we do everything we can to limit disinformation and deceptive content about voting, candidates, and online efforts to suppress and intimidate voters. MapLight’s new Election Deception Tracker allows users to capture content from their Facebook feeds that contains false or misleading information about the election. The tracker sends it to a team of election protection advocates who will analyze the information and push for its removal.

Please help: Click here to install the Election Deception Tracker on Chrome, or click here to install the tracker on Firefox.

It’s free, it’s easy, and most importantly — it’s a great tool to help protect the integrity of the election.

The spread of disinformation online represents a significant threat to the 2020 election as well as the long-term health of our democracy. By taking a moment to install the Election Deception Tracker, you can help protect yourself and others from disinformation in the final days before the election. With your help, we can push back against deception online.

Best,
Dan
