Mitch McConnell's Senate just confirmed Amy Coney Barrett's nomination to the Supreme Court, making the nation's highest court the most radically right-wing it's ever been.

Barrett's nomination also typifies what's wrong with Republican leadership: they're willing to exploit every loophole, attack every truth, and trample the will of the people in order to consolidate power.

That's the Republican party that backs my opponent, Alek Skarlatos; because they know they can count on him to vote the party line, every single time.

Until now, we've been able to count on cooler heads in our court system to rein in right-wing extremists' most dangerous ideas. But Barrett's confirmation opens us up a Pandora's Box of attacks on our most vulnerable communities and our most sacred rights:

Protections for pre-existing conditions are in danger.

The basic human rights of the LGBTQIA+ community are in danger.

Reproductive freedom is in danger.

Our clean air and water are in danger.

The list goes on and on.
That's why we've got to elect a strong, principled Democratic majority to honor the legacy of progressive champions like Justice Ginsburg and pass bold reforms to strengthen our democratic values.

Alek Skarlatos, with his combination of extremist ideas and blind party loyalty, would actively undermine those values and deliver more favors to corporate special interests. And right now, he's spending millions of special interest dollars to convince people otherwise.
