We’ve experienced a number of crucial milestones in our 71-year history and have seen history made first-hand. It goes without saying that this year has been historic in its own regard.

Unfortunately, the unprecedented events of 2020 impacted many of our programs. We experienced a disruption to critical revenue streams this year since many of our Historic Sites were closed at peak times of the year. Your gift will help ensure we have the funding needed to protect and honor places that have shaped our nation’s rich history and tell the full American story.

Your contribution will help save irreplaceable sites that are in need of support, places like:

• The National Mall Tidal Basin, which is experiencing daily flooding and crumbling infrastructure;
• Farnsworth House, an architectural masterpiece not far from Chicago that is fighting repeated floods from rising water levels in the nearby Fox River;
• Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood, which faces a range of threats, including development pressure, demolition of historic buildings, and displacement of existing residents;
• And many, many more.

Will we be able to save these historically important and culturally rich places? Much of that depends on how much support you’re able to provide.
