John -- Jen (Marcus's fiancé) here again. I'll be the first to tell you how proud I am of each and every one of you who's been following this DC Council race from close by or outside the DMV. This team has accomplished some truly remarkable things during an otherwise truly awful year.
And I'm going to let you in on a little secret: I'm really proud of Marcus too. I’m thrilled that soon I get to marry this man who cares about others so deeply that he wants to jump into public service and fight for a more equitable DC.
It has also been heartbreaking to see his opponents desperately try to smear Marcus to prevent him from winning this race. That is why I couldn't be prouder of the positive people-powered campaign he has run since day one. Now I need your help, John, to help us spread the word.
