Republicans have been trying to suppress voter turnout for years — but in 2020, they’ve doubled down. They’ve always tried to limit access to the ballot box in working class communities, communities of color, and anywhere Republicans think they can’t win in a fair fight.

During the pandemic, voting early isn’t just critical to limiting exposure for seniors and immunocompromised Americans. When I ran for the Montana State House, nobody thought we could win — my district had voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump. But by going door to door and neighbor to neighbor, and talking about what matters most to families and our community, we proved them wrong.

It’s going to take all of us this November. While campaigning and voting may look different in a pandemic, it just makes it that more important you add your voice.
