Team,

For years, pollsters and pundits convinced us that Democrats couldn't compete in Texas, especially if you talked about taking on the special interests. And impossible if you even dared to talk about a future where no American goes without the health care they need.

The data — and the extraordinary groundswell of enthusiasm and energy on the ground — tells us otherwise. Texas voters are showing up to vote early in record numbers, and we've never been closer to sending Julie to Congress next year.

But we must do more than take back our district. We have to defeat Donald Trump, flip the Senate, and grow our majority in the House. And that starts with showing up for other Texas Democrats locked in tight races.

Can you split a donation of $10 or whatever you can afford between our campaign, MJ Hegar, Sima Ladjevardian, Candace Valenzuela, Mike Siegel, Sri Kulkarni, Wendy Davis, Gina Ortiz Jones, Lulu Seikaly so we have the resources to flip Texas in 10 days? [[link removed]]

MJ Hegar is a Purple Heart combat veteran who took on gender inequality in the military. Her opponent, Senator John Cornyn, has voted to repeal the ACA more than 20 times and openly mocked social distancing guidelines at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sima Ladjevardian (TX-02) is a lawyer, a mother of two, a breast cancer survivor, and a political activist running for Congress. Her opponent is a member of the ultra-conservative House Freedom Caucus and boasts the full support of Donald Trump.

Candace Valenzuela (TX-24) is a mother, an educator, and a lifelong Texan. Like Julie, she was briefly homeless, but overcame the odds and has devoted her life to fighting for opportunity for others. Candace would be the first Afro-Latina elected to Congress in this increasingly competitive district.

Mike Siegel (TX-10) has spent his career advocating for the people. As Austin's Assistant City Attorney, he worked to pass one of the first paid sick leave ordinances in Texas and helped lead the legal fight against Texas Senate Bill 4, a 2017 anti-immigrant law. He's running for Congress against a Trump Republican, all while refusing contributions from fossil fuel companies.

Sri Kulkarni (TX-22) is a national security expert and former Foreign Service Officer who has served in Russia, Iraq, and other countries — and speaks six languages. Like Julie, it was health care and getting big money out of politics that inspired him to run.

Before Wendy Davis (TX-21) ran for office, she was a young single mom working two jobs to make ends meet. As a Texas State Senator, she famously stood for 13 hours straight to filibuster legislation against restrictive reproductive health regulations, and she hopes to bring that same fire to Congress.

Gina Ortiz Jones (TX-23) is an Air Force veteran who ran against an incumbent Republican in 2018 and lost by fewer than 1,000 votes — but she has what it takes to bring it home this time. The daughter of an immigrant, Gina will fight for immigration reform and to ensure that quality health care is a right, not a privilege.

Lulu Seikaly (TX-03) is a first-generation American whose family fled civil war in Lebanon and settled in North Texas. She's now running to represent her home district, fighting hard to protect the opportunities that allowed her family to succeed.

These candidates — including Julie! — represent the best of what Texas has to offer. And together, we will usher in a new generation of leadership that puts people — not the special interests — first in Congress.

Don't let the corporate super PACs and Washington Republicans win. Split a donation between our campaigns to flip Texas blue in ten days. [[link removed]]

Let’s do this,

Team Julie
