Dear *|IF:FNAME|**|FNAME|**|ELSE:|*Friend*|END:IF|*,

Yesterday, Boris Johnson FINALLY owned up to the fact that England's track and trace needs to be fixed. After months of trying to sweep the mess of the privatised system under the rug, Johnson has confessed to frustrations at contact tracing's failures, admitting that it needs 'improvement'.

Now that Boris is on the defence, we need MPs to hear from you, particularly those in his party: public health teams need resources to do more, not SERCO!

Today, we need you to call on your MP to pile on more pressure by asking them to write to Johnson and Rishi Sunak directly.

They admitted it's not working: Please email your MP

Yesterday was a key shift. The Prime Minister is now starting to admit that outsourced test and trace is a disaster. The government's confidence is cracking.

You have shown that you're not giving up, and they're starting to crumble.

We know that 'improvements' to test and trace cannot mean throwing even more cash at useless managament consultants. We know that track and trace will only improve when Serco and other private companies are OUT of the picture.

Last week, you emailed key politicians with responsibilities over test and trace. Now it's time to ask your MPs to take action.

By calling on your MP to email Johnson directly, you'll be ensuring that MPs including those in his party know how angry constituents are, at a time when he is showing signs of self-doubt.

Email your MP now

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland already have public track and trace for the most part, which is how it should be done.

Though this week we learned that the Scottish government have signed contracts with private companies on track and trace. We're keeping an eye on this. For the moment, it appears that these are short terms contracts with staff 'under the direction of the NHS'. Take action here!

If you're in Wales, Northern Ireland, you're help is needed to get private companies out of track and trace. Join 20,000 people in asking Gove, Hunt and Clark to stop outsourcing madness across the UK. They have a key role in and influencing the government. Your solidarity is hugely appreciated.

If you're in England, it's crucial your MP receives an email from you now so they know you want to see money directed to public health teams and fast.

Send your MP an email now: this can't go on

Thank you so much for taking action today and over the past weeks. You've been building the pressure, and the cracks are showing.

Together we will only get louder.

PUBLIC HEALTH IN PUBLIC HANDS!
