With all eyes on the presidential race (as President Trump and VP Biden take the stage tonight for their last debate) and all eyes on the Senate (as Republicans jam through their SCOTUS nomination against the people's will), I wanted to take a minute to talk about another key part of our efforts on November 3: the House of Representatives.

Last cycle I traveled to nearly 20 states to help Democrats win back the House and hand that gavel back to the one and only Nancy Pelosi. As a result, House Democrats have been able to pass transformative legislation like the Equality Act, the Paycheck Fairness Act, and measures to expand voting rights and reduce the cost of prescription drugs.

After four years of Donald Trump, it's absolutely essential we expand and fortify our majority in the House. That's why I'm focusing on seats we call "Red to Blue" -- that is, seats currently held by Republicans that Democrats have a real chance of winning in two weeks.

And I've zeroed in on four incredible female candidates running: Kate Schroder in Ohio, Amy Kennedy in New Jersey, Kara Eastman in Nebraska, and Jill Schupp in Missouri. But they need your help!

I am supporting these women because they believe in leading from a moral center that has gotten lost in Washington. I'm personally asking you to join me and show your support with a split donation for these four women. [link removed]

Kara is a former social worker, which makes her an American hero in my book. In 2018, she came within two points of beating incumbent GOP Rep. Don Bacon. She is consistently out front on the issues that matter, and has proven her commitment to her community by founding the Omaha Health Kids Alliance. Meanwhile, Bacon will have to answer for his votes to give major tax cuts to special interests groups and cut protections for pre-existing medical conditions. The point is, Kara is ready to turn NE-02 Blue, this November.

Amy's district, NJ-02, is a solid swing district that President Obama won twice. Her opponent, Jeff Van Drew, was elected as a Democrat before flipping parties earlier this year and pledging "undying support" for Trump -- officially abandoning the people he was elected to represent. Amy is ready to fill that current void of leadership. She's served before, as a public school educator for a decade. Her advocacy for mental health support is absolutely necessary right now as we look to not only progress, but heal our country -- especially in the midst of COVID. Full disclosure: Amy is family, so this is a candidacy especially close to my heart!

Kate is a fresh voice of leadership who already has a track record of being a bipartisan problem solver. Fresh leadership is exactly what's needed in OH-01 as Republican Rep. Steve Chabot has towed the party establishment line for the past 20 years. While he was assaulting his constituents' health care access, Kate won her fight against cancer and has looked to put her community's health first as a member of the Cincinnati Board of Health. I feel better than ever that this is our moment to flip this district.

Jill just gets things done. In her own words, "when we identify the vision, we can work to prioritize how our policies and resources can work for what we value as a community, state, and nation." I know she's ready to lead from our nation's capital. Current Rep. Ann Wagner's grip on the district is slipping - from a 20-point margin in 2012 to only a 4-point margin in 2018. As the most conservative member from Missouri she is out of step with her Democratic-trending constituents. Jill is ready to step up and be a voice for the people of the second district.

These women are incredibly powerful voices, leaders, advocates, community members and moms -- and we all know moms get things done! They are the kind of leaders we need to rebuild what Donald Trump has broken and make progress for American families.

This is why these races are so critical. We need new voices and faces in Washington. And we need more women at every level of government, in every corner of the country. Donate now. [link removed]

With gratitude,

Joe

P.S. I'm proud to support four women on the edge of flipping their districts from red to blue. Use this page to help them cross the finish line: [link removed]
