John, Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to move forward with Amy Coney Barrett's nomination to the Supreme Court. That means that she could be confirmed as early as next Monday. If she is confirmed, the Supreme Court will have a 6-3 conservative majority. The conservatives could vote to reverse Roe v. Wade, the ACA, marriage equality, and more milestones of progress we simply can't afford to lose. One thing is clear: with this deeply conservative court, in the coming years it will be up to state legislators, like our Featured Candidates, to protect access to reproductive healthcare and fight for our rights.
Our intensive recruitment efforts allowed us to have 24 competitive Featured Candidates this year, our largest group ever. They are the key to flipping the NC House and Senate and will stand together to protect reproductive freedom and fight for gender equity.
