My name is Olga Marina Segura and I joined the NCR team in September. As the opinion editor, a large part of my job focuses on soliciting and editing articles from people of color.

In the past month alone, I have edited stories by Melissa Cedillo, who called for defunding ICE; Valerie Jean Charles on why Pope Francis must speak out against the violence in Haiti; and Leticia Ochoa Adams on how her Catholic faith helped her following her son's suicide.

And in the coming months, I will feature BIPOC writers on topics like abolition, organizing, teaching, and ministering. I am looking forward to diving deeper into these topics, but I can't do it without your support.
