There are less than two weeks left until Election Day, and as of last week, more than 142,000 New Mexicans have already cast their ballots for 2020.

That's more than 20% of the total New Mexico voter turnout in 2016 and more than 17% of the New Mexico turnout in 2008, which was the highest election turnout in our state's history.

We are on the brink of creating meaningful change in Congress and the White House. I made a promise to spend every day fighting to elect Democrats who will take action on the important issues facing our country -- the pandemic, climate change, health care -- and I'm so grateful to everyone who has joined me in this fight.

We can't stop now. There are less than two weeks left to defend our critical blue seat in the Senate by electing my friend Ben Ray Luján on November 3rd. Ben Ray is leading the polls, but a recent one showed his lead shrinking by four points. We can't lose any ground -- if you can, please split a contribution between Ben Ray's campaign and the Southwest Leadership Fund.

We can't afford for New Mexico to turn red, and here's why:

BEN RAY'S REPUBLICAN OPPONENT:

Opposes giving New Mexicans the COVID-19 relief they urgently need
Ignores climate science
Supports taking away health care from 245,000 New Mexicans
Has the support of the NRA and the gun lobby

BEN RAY:

Responding to the pandemic by securing resources for New Mexico hospitals and frontline workers, paid sick leave, and unemployment insurance
A champion for green energy, reducing emissions, conserving water, and protecting our public lands
Fighting to improve access to health care, protect coverage for pre-existing conditions, and lower the cost of prescription drugs
Advanced legislation that would enact common-sense gun-safety reforms like universal background checks

Needless to say, the stakes are high. This is the last time I'll ask you to chip in to support Ben Ray before Election Day: If you can, will you split a contribution between his campaign and the Southwest Leadership Fund?

Cheers,

Tom
