Rep. David Cicilline's Gun Safety Political Action Committee
(PAC) is the only congressional leadership PAC dedicated to
ending gun violence. It will identify and support candidates who
will vote for and pass gun safety legislation that will put an
end to the crisis of gun violence in America. We hope you'll
stick around to learn more and support our mission. But if you
ever want to opt-out, you can do so here

At the first presidential debate, Donald Trump told the Proud
Boys, a white supremacist hate group, to "Stand down and stand
by."
The next week, a group of suspected domestic terrorists were
arrested in a plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and
violently overthrow the government. The same group also discussed
"taking" Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam.
This isn't a one-off. This isn't just one bunch of bad apples.
This is a pattern of hate - at best, tolerated by Donald Trump
and at worst, encouraged by Donald Trump through his long record
of tweets, comments, and endorsements. Even after this terrifying
plot came to light, Trump led a chant of "lock her up" at a rally
in Michigan over the weekend.
We need leaders willing to stand up and stop the violence -
including gun violence - that spreads when fear-mongering and
scare tactics are allowed to run wild. Folks, will
you rush a donation today to support candidates who are 100%
committed to ending gun violence and white supremacy?

Back in the spring, heavily armed protestors gathered inside
Michigan's state capitol in opposition to the state's coronavirus
restrictions. Groups toting AK-47s at rallies and protests have
become increasingly common as a source of fear at peaceful
gatherings. Armed intimidation has no place in our political
debate.
From the Proud Boys to a local Michigan armed group called the
Wolverine Watchmen, these groups are only made more dangerous by
easy access to guns. They hear their leaders putting out dog
whistles to white supremacists and see Donald Trump's retweets -
and then, they buy a weapon of war to take on the fight
themselves.
We need a majority in Congress ready to get down to the work to
save lives. Everything from universal background checks to an
Assault Weapons Ban will help interrupt the deadly combination of
hate and guns. If you're able, will you make a grassroots
donation to support Democrats willing to take action on gun
violence?
