In 2018, BYD was proud to help elect State Senator Andrew Gounardes in Southern Brooklyn. With your support and dedication, we proved there was no part of the borough that progressives couldn't win if we had the right ideas, people, and values.
This Sunday, we're hosting our first in-person canvass of the campaign in Bay Ridge to help Senator Gounardes beat back a challenge from a Trump Republican who has run a campaign on demonizing the criminal justice reform we fought so hard for. Despite being in a "tough" district, Andrew courageously supported these reforms.
We need to have his back.
