Hello Comrade,

DSA's National Political Committee has endorsed our Chapter’s campaign to defeat Montgomery County ballot question B, a pro-austerity, regressive tax scam that will benefit only the county’s wealthiest property owners. If passed, this ballot measure will starve Montgomery County of the resources it needs to fund essential public services and force the county to enact massive cuts in response to budgetary shortfalls related to the economic downturn and COVID-19. These cuts would disproportionately fall on the working class and those who are most disadvantaged, while the wealthiest property owners would receive tax cuts.

We’ve already made approximately 12,000 calls, but with the election just two weeks away, we need to contact as many voters as possible before the polls close. Can you join DSA for one phone banking session between now and the election?

You do not have to live in Montgomery County to help us make calls. Our regular volunteers say that this is some of the easiest voter outreach they’ve ever done and it’s a fun and rewarding way to spend an hour. Voters are happy to vote against ballot question B and to have someone talk to them about the MoCo ballot questions. In down ballot races like this one, every bit of voter contact makes a difference!
