If you’re reading this, chances are you or someone you care about could lose their health care if the Trump administration has its way.

Despite Trump’s claims, his administration is set to argue before the Supreme Court to throw out the entire Affordable Care Act — including protections for people with pre-existing conditions. Those protections could apply to you if you’ve been sick with anything from cancer to COVID-19, if you’ve ever been pregnant, or if you’re trans or nonbinary.

A 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court would threaten our most basic human rights — including access to health care — no matter who the President is. That’s why I’m fighting to expand the Supreme Court.

When I quit my job to run for Congress full-time, I lost my health insurance. This is a need I know to exist based on my personal experience.

That’s why I support Medicare for All, which would insure every American with comprehensive health care regardless of their employment status. But before we can get to work on that fight we need to make sure the Supreme Court doesn’t tear apart the ACA.

Together we can elect Democrats up and down the ballot this fall, but we can only create the progressive future we deserve if we shift the ideological balance of the Supreme Court.
