• Prosecutors have now implicated 22 suspects in an illegal voting operation in the South Texas city of Edinburg. The city secretary is the latest to be charged in an organized voter fraud scheme allegedly orchestrated by then-candidate Richard Molina. The scheme, it appears, was successful. Molina unseated longtime incumbent Mayor Richard Garcia in the election – though how many votes the scheme contributed to his 1,200-vote win has yet to be determined.  Erin Anderson has the story.
       
• Mayor Molina was arrested in April along with his wife, Dalia Molina. Prosecutors allege they enticed people who lived outside Edinburg to fraudulently register at addresses inside the city for the explicit purpose of voting illegally.
      
• FYI: Making false statements on a voter registration form, or inducing others to, is against state law.

• Two city councils in northeast Texas – Omaha and Naples – voted on similar ordinances earlier this week declaring abortion to be murder and preventing the abortion industry from doing business within their cities’ jurisdictions. Our friends at Texas Right to Life have the details.

• There are 10 proposed constitutional amendments for Texans to consider on the November 5 general election this year. According to Texas’ Secretary of State, one must be registered to vote by Monday, October 7, 2019.
