The fact that 97% of eligible voters in a county without automatic voter registration are registered and ready to cast a ballot this fall is… the reason I do this work. Despite all the ups and downs of this horrible year, we’re seeing a groundswell of people like you and me that are more motivated than ever to make their voices heard. 

It’s not just Texas; this energy is everywhere. At least 17 million people have already voted. At this point in 2016, that number was less than 3 million.

We can’t know how many people will turn out to vote, and we’re taking nothing for granted, but there is undeniable energy to end Donald Trump’s attack on our democracy and pave the way for progressive change. I know you’re ready. Take a second now to use our tool to make a plan to vote early and to find out where and when you can do your part:

Already voted? Help us reach out to battleground state voters instead! We’re texting every single day to contact progressive voters and make sure they know how and where to vote this year with a particular focus on states that will help us oust Trump and flip the Senate.

The reason we talk about “making a plan” to vote is because sometimes voting in this country is difficult, even more so in a pandemic. Take all those folks in Travis County, Texas. Texas is one of only nine states that doesn’t offer online voter registration, so every single person who wants to register has to print out a form and send it back or show up in person (in a pandemic). In spite of that, 97% of all eligible voters living there registered anyway, because they know what’s at stake this fall.

You deserve a democracy that works for you. So don’t let anything stop you from keeping Trump and his cronies from further destroying our environment, letting hundreds of thousands more die from their reckless and inept COVID response, stealing more court seats, and finally getting their wish of throwing millions off of their health insurance.
