Eighteen years ago, a quiet and bright September morning became forever seared into our national consciousness.
All across America, in prayer and in silence, we honor the innocent lives lost in senseless acts of evil.
But in our darkest hour, we witnessed the brightest light.
The display of bravery and valor by our first responders and everyday Americans who selflessly risked their own lives to help others will never be forgotten.
Today, the men and women of our armed services remain on the front lines in the battle against terrorism. We must never yield in our gratitude for their sacrifice nor in our commitment to defeating those who seek to do our nation harm.
May God bring comfort to the families of the victims of 9/11, and may He always bless our United States of America.
