Friend --

There are only a few hours left until our final public FEC deadline hits at 11:59 PM. Right now, we’re still $4,987 short.

Tonight’s deadline is an important opportunity to send a message to National Republicans about the strength of our campaign, so before I share some reflections about my race, I need to ask if you can make a last-minute donation of $3 before tonight’s deadline.

When I ran for School Board, I was told I didn’t have enough money to win. I was told I wasn’t the right age and that I didn’t have the stature for elected office. There had never been an African American and Latina elected to the School Board.

I won that race anyway, friend.

Not because I had connections, but because I put in the tough work and elevated the issues that mattered to every parent and child in our community.

Now I’m running for Congress to make a difference in our community, and that’s what truly scares the status quo.

Our campaign is free of corporate influence and focused on the issues that truly impact our community -- fair housing, economic justice, and accessible health care.

With just a few hours to go for our final public FEC deadline -- we’re only $4,987 short. Can you chip in a donation to put us over the top?

Here’s the best link to give: [link removed]

Thanks for standing with me,
