30 Years and Counting!

Today, Tom and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. There has been a lot of living, growing, and learning together for us. I can't think of a better person to have done this with than Tom.

I was 22 when we married; that's young! I won't tell you I was "mature beyond my years", but I can tell you there was never a moment of doubt, then or since we married, that I had chosen the right person to spend a lifetime.

Tom is genuine, selfless, and wicked smart! His sense of humor ranges from the obscure to the most groan-worthy dad joke you can imagine. He has a pragmatic approach to living combined with a brave willingness to forge a new path. He jokes about this dichotomy; "If you want me to be spontaneous, give me a couple days to think about it." This is laughably (and frustratingly) true. He may look buttoned-down, but he welcomes adventure and change, provided he's given enough advanced notice, of course.

In all sincerity, I understood deeply why the Navy appealed to him. Navy unofficial motto is "Non sibi sed patriae".

Not Self but Country

This is Tom. He gives before he receives. He serves before he benefits. Servant leadership was what he's been destined for all of his life. Few people are this authentically devoted.

This is how someone like me knows a lifetime with Tom was always the wisest thing I could have chosen.

Warmest wishes,

Terri

If you can't chip in now, there are still a TON of ways to help out. Check out the list below!

<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="[link removed]" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="[link removed]" style="width: 50%;" /></a></p>

1) Phone Bank : We have created an open phone bank that all volunteers can access, any day, from 10am-7pm. This means, you can access the phone bank and make calls to our targeted universe whenever you want up until November 3. Click here to start making calls from your phone or your computer: [link removed] [[link removed]]

2) Post Cards : They are here! We have 10,000 postcards that we need filled with Tom’s message. We also need help putting mailing address labels and stamps on our 10,000 other postcards that you all helped fill out. Please stop by the office anytime this Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm or Saturday 9am-4pm to pick some up. Our hours are also posted on our website at the bottom and Facebook page: www.facebook.com/tomforwi [[link removed]]

3) Door Hangers : Want to drop lit? We have thousands of door hangers that we also want to put on the ~20,000 doors of the same people we are calling with our phone bank. Stop by the office, grab some door hangers, and we can give you a list of addresses from our targeted universe.

4) Merch : We now have *bumper stickers* and “Women for Tom” signs plus we still have buttons, t-shirts, "Biden | Harris," and “Veterans for Tom” signs that need a home. Stop by the office to buy some apparel to represent Team Tom!
