If you're a voter in California, you probably received your ballot in the mail last week.

It's a long ballot to work through. We're pleased to let you know that our Silicon Valley DSA Voter Guide [[link removed]] for November 2020 is now live! This guide was drafted by our Electoral Working Group and adopted by a chapter vote.

Silicon Valley DSA is your local volunteer-run chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America [[link removed]].

DSA IS EVERY SUNDAY!
DSA is every Sunday at 2-4pm. That means every Sunday we have either a Work Session or a General Meeting. During work sessions you can pick up tasks from any of our working groups, local groups, or admin committees; or get onboarded 1-on-1 by a volunteer. We're hoping to make this an easy way for folks to get into DSA work.

If you happen to read this by 4pm Sunday, please join us on the call! [[link removed]]

Next Sunday, we have our October Chapter Meeting to plan our post-election strategies, regardless of what happens in November. Be sure to RSVP [[link removed]]!

MUTUAL AID
Silicon Valley DSA has officially chartered the Mutual Aid Working Group! While it took us a little bit to make the paperwork official, we’ve been busy since shelter-in-place began in March. We work closely with South Bay Mutual Aid [[link removed]] on most of our projects. We’ve sewn masks, helped pay for and deliver groceries to community members in need, provided feminine hygiene products to unhoused women, and provided food, sanitation supplies, and PPE for nearby farmworkers. We have delivered $36,000 in aid to our community, including distributing almost 10,000 KN95 masks!

Coming soon: South Bay Mutual Aid is setting up an online clothing “store” where community members in need can request clothing donated by SBMA and SV DSA members. Our first donation drive Saturday brought in hundreds of items of clothing. (By the way, we could use some help inventorying and photographing the clothes. Just fill out this form [[link removed]] and say “help with clothing store” under “Do you have other skills you would be willing to provide?”) Stay tuned for more info on future drives, and for how to boost the store itself on social media!

How can you get involved with Mutual Aid?

* Donate money [[link removed]]!
* Sign up to distribute masks and hand sanitizer [[link removed]] during October!
* Sign up to volunteer [[link removed]]! We especially need Spanish speakers.
* Join us every Sunday at 11am to learn more! Our next meeting is October 18 [[link removed]].

SUPPORT OUR ENDORSED CANDIDATES!
Election day is less than four weeks away, and the window to reach voters is closing in fast. All candidates need help dropping literature & making calls. Sign up:
