We're in the final stretch of the closest Senate race in the country. You've been an invaluable part of our campaign, so I wanted to take a moment to share with you the state of the race and how we win on November 3. Take a look:

* Control of the Senate hinges on Iowa. Democrats only need to flip four seats to take back the Senate, and Iowa is the tipping point.

* Polling consistently shows that this race is a toss up. Polls show our race is within the margin of error -- it's a dead heat.

* We are pursuing an all-of-the-above strategy to maximize our output and fight for every single vote. From organizing to TV ads to micro-targeted digital persuasion, we are leaving no stone unturned in our fight to take this toss up race to a win.

* Our campaign is fueled by grassroots support, not big corporate PAC money. Thanks to your support, we broke fundraising records in Iowa without a single dime of corporate PAC money. But McConnell has seen our success, and we need every penny to compete against outside Republican spending.

* Mitch McConnell and his allies continue to spend tens of millions of dollars on nasty false ads to stop Theresa. They are confident we can't keep up in this final stretch.

* We've done the math. To fight back against their attacks, we need to raise $400,000 a day from grassroots donors to keep our operation at full capacity. Your grassroots support will go directly into keeping our ads online and on the air, and helping us reach voters in all of Iowa's 99 counties.

* But we've fallen short of the mark for the past several days. That means I'll have to make tough cuts to our budget. If we don't see a surge of grassroots support, our budget for yard signs, ads, and organizing will be cut and we risk falling even further behind.

* We've exceeded expectations so far, but none of it will matter if we don't win on Election Day. Time is the only resource we can't get more of in a campaign. We only have a few more weeks to go, and any budget cuts now means fewer voters we turn out. That could be devastating.

I know this is a lot of information, but we want to be honest with our supporters. This is the race that will decide Senate control and right now, we're behind on our daily goal (again).
