Hi
John,
Here's the thing about the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation process: It's completely illegitimate.
You and I know it. A dozen recent polls confirm that the majority of voters know it. The fly on Mike Pence's head probably knows it too.
And yet, GOP extremists are fast tracking her Supreme Court confirmation - even though the 2020 election is currently underway and millions of ballots have already been cast.
They are even BLOCKING coronavirus relief legislation to focus solely on confirming Barrett in time to help carry out the GOP's reprehensible crusade to destroy the Affordable Care Act, which will be challenged in the Court on November 10.
Meanwhile, the pandemic continues to ravage the country -- forcing a shocking number of women to leave the workforce, keeping kids out of school and risking the lives of essential workers.
ENOUGH!
We are NOT powerless to fight back,
John. That's why we're participating in a national day of action TODAY.
For the next few hours, we need your help. Here's the game plan:
(Prank) Call Lindsey Graham
As chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Lindsey Graham made a promise in 2018 to wait for the next election if a Supreme Court vacancy opened up in the last year of Trump's term.
"If an opening comes in the last year of President Trump's term and the primary process has started, we'll wait to the next election."
Apparently, he still needs to be reminded.
Call Lindsey Graham's office at (202) 224-5972 and play back his words from 2018 for whomever answers the phone. The audio is queued up for you here:

Flip the Script
It's not just Lindsey Graham who's forgetting himself.
There are seven other GOP Senate Judiciary Committee members who made statements in 2016 strongly opposing confirmation proceedings during an election year. We tagged all of them in a new video to find out if they're good for their word(s) ... or not.
We need your help to get their attention by sharing this Tweet and video with your networks along with the hashtags #OurCourt, #WeDissent, #CountOnUs,
#WeDemandMore, and #SCOTUS.
Thank you! Please let us know how it goes by replying to this email.
Sincerely,
- Sarah
