These candidates are why we do what we do:
  • South Carolina: Jaime Harrison is running to unseat Lindsey Graham to be a voice for working people in the Senate. Graham has sold out his constituents to advance his own career and done nothing for the people of South Carolina, while Jaime Harrison is on the frontlines fighting for everyday people.

  • Georgia: Reverend Raphael Warnock is running to expand access to healthcare, defend working class people, and fight voter suppression. His opponent Kelly Loeffler is a former Wall Street exec that cashed in on her public office, a Trump loyalist, and “adamantly opposes” the Black Lives Matter movement.

  • Mississippi: Mike Espy is running to move the state forward and be a voice for all Mississippians, whereas his opponent Cindy Hyde Smith is hurting the state’s economy, laughs about public hangings, and makes statements supporting voter suppression.
Here at The Southern Strategy, we are building innovative GOTV programs targeting new and unlikely voters. We work to reach people who have felt disenfranchised and ignored by a system that has left them behind. If we are going to win we have to reach new Black voters, new women voters, and new young voters so we can deliver decisive victories in states and districts previously thought lost to the Democratic party. We can do this and we can do it now.

Electing these candidates is an essential first step in reclaiming our democracy and bringing political power to typically underrepresented communities.

The people of South Carolina, Georgia, and Mississippi deserve better representation than the Republicans currently in the Senate. We must flip these Senate seats and show the GOP we will not stand for their continued failures.
