Nancy Bopeya, the designer of the “VOTE” mask, is a small businesswoman originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. After immigrating to the United States 25 years ago, she attended the International Academy of Design and Technology, earning a degree in Fashion Design. When the pandemic hit, Nancy sprang into action — creating masks with traditional African prints. Each “VOTE” mask is handmade with 100% cotton, traditional Kente cloth fabric from Ghana with a slit on the side for a filter. When you chip in $30 to our campaign today, not only are you helping to stop voter suppression, end the Trump administration, and keep your community safe — you’re helping a small Black-owned business survive this pandemic.
Thank you for all that you do to help us take back the nation and create transformational change for our communities. Together, we can win! |
