Julie Oliver for Congress

Team, we're just learning that a shady, pro-Roger Williams super PAC — the "Defend Texas Fund" — has booked more than $100,000 in TV ads in markets across our district starting next week, right in time for the start of early voting in Texas.

We don't know what the content of these TV ads will entail, but we do know that we need to be prepared for whatever this super PAC is going to throw our way. Will you rush a contribution to our Rapid Response Fund today?

We're concerned, but we knew this was coming. With not just one, but TWO recent polls showing our race within the margin of error, along with our campaign receiving the coveted "Red to Blue" designation from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee — Julie is getting Washington Republicans worried. So they're coming in at the final hour to bail Roger Williams out.

The Defend Texas Fund appears to get half of their funding from a wealthy Florida megadonor. And this gets to the heart of the problem: Having a campaign finance system that allows wealthy, out-of-state donors to jump into the race with just 28 days left to respond isn't how our democracy is supposed to work.

That's why our campaign has refused all PAC money and is 100% funded by individual contributions. To Julie, it is the only way that she feels that she can ensure that those she wants to represent and serve know that she is not in anyone's pocket.

But if we want to flip TX-25 and send Julie to Washington next year so she can work to get corporations and big money out of our elections, we need to stay focused on getting Julie's positive message out there. Will you rush a contribution to our Rapid Response Fund to help us counteract this new super PAC?

Thanks for taking action on this,

Team Julie
