Hello --

I have not stopped working to bring relief to Americans continuing to suffer from the economic and health impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.

Last week, my fellow House Democrats and I revealed an updated version of the Heroes Act, including $2.2 trillion to address the urgent needs of families across the nation struggling to afford rent, pay their bills and put food on the table.

I am proud to share that this revised legislation reflects ongoing bipartisan discussions and includes strong support for small businesses with improvements to the Paycheck Protection Program and more funds to bolster education and child care for families.

Today marks one week since my House colleagues and I revealed the updated Heroes Act. It’s important to me to know that you support my work to bring meaningful relief to Americans as soon as possible.

As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I take my job to ensure individuals and families get the funding and resources they need right now very seriously.

That is why this bill also provides additional direct payments to taxpayers, restores unemployment benefits, ensures worker safety, preserves health coverage, bolsters housing assistance, strengthens food security and safeguards our democracy. We’ve included new resources to ensure safe elections, an accurate census, and preserve the U.S. Postal Service.

I will continue to keep you updated as discussions develop, and what is the most helpful to me right now is to have your support as we push to bring this coronavirus response bill to a vote in the Senate. Please add your name:

We must come together to vote on this bill for our families, schools, small business and restaurants.

Time is of the essence.

Thank you,

Henry
