The U.S. must raise refugee admissions to the historic average of 95,000.
Dear John,
Now is the time to save the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, and to protect the
lives of tens of thousands of people along with it.
Ask your Member of Congress to take action today.

October 1 marks the beginning of the 2021 fiscal year, and until the Trump
administration sets a Presidential Determination (PD), no refugees will be
resettled in the United States. The PD establishes the number of refugees that
may be admitted into the country for the next fiscal year.
The administration is required to consult with Congress before setting a PD, and
so far they have failed to do that, although they have announced their intention
to set the refugee admissions target at 15,000, another historic low.
Now is the time to take a stand with us and call on our government to restore
the U.S. refugee program by setting the refugee admissions goal to its historic
average of 95,000.
Thank you,
Melanie Nezer
Senior Vice President, Public Affairs
