Learning about the Electoral College In this session, students will explore the Electoral College’s controversial origins at the Constitution Convention, the influence of founder James Wilson, and the many attempts to reform it over the years. The class will also cover the history of presidential elections in America and current constitutional questions on the Electoral College—including a unanimous Supreme Court ruling about faithless electors in June 2020.
