John -- For the next two Wednesdays, how about phone banking with us and Center for Popular Democracy Action?
The presidential election is weeks away, and it's all hands on deck to win all the way down the ballot.
This Wednesday (and the next!), we're calling potential voters in Michigan and Georgia with our national campaign partner, Center for Popular Democracy-Action. [[link removed]]
Phone banking with local CPD affiliates Detroit Action and the New Georgia Project supports grassroots Black-led organizing who in addition to doing electoral justice work right now are organizing year-round/all the time on campaigns in local communities!
Most RG members are in deep blue cities and states; phone banking is a relationship guided way to have some impact in swing states and to support progressive Black-led political organizing.
Also, of our 16+ and growing chapters, RG Atlanta is in Georgia and RG Ann Arbor is in Michigan!
For the next two Wednesdays, RG Action is hosting 2 phone banks with one of our national campaign partners, the Center for Popular Democracy Action, to call voters in key states, Georgia and Michigan:

Both Detroit Action and New Georgia Project Action Fund do year-round community organizing to build racial and economic justice, which is more than about voter turn out in any single campaign.
These are organizations who have deep roots with the local community and work to align electoral justice goals with community needs.
In addition to phone banking, consider making a long-term, multi-year financial commitment to electoral justice giving by:

Real facts:
Democrats lost the presidential race in Michigan in 2016 by less than 11,000 votes.
The gap between Democratic and GOP voters in Atlanta went from 200,000+ votes to less than 60,000 in 2018 alone -- due to local electoral justice organizing, the organizing around the Stacy Abrams campaign, and New Georgia's Project's commitment to organizing new voters, among other factors. These efforts have made Georgia a real swing state for the first time in decades.
Let's get in where we fit in, make some calls, and move some money!
Gratitude and Solidarity,
Yahya and the RG Action Team
