It’s never too late to go vegan: Vegans in their 70s tell their stories

Michael, Sara and Rosemary are vegans who are all in their 70s. In this video they discuss their reasons for going vegan, what their journey to veganism was like and why they think that age shouldn’t be a barrier to going vegan.

Watch the video.

Is your MP one of the 93?

EDM 291 calls for an end to the use of animals in warfare experiments. The EDM has been signed by 93 MPs, but it would be wonderful if even more MPs showed their support for this very important issue.

Please take a moment to ask your MP to support the EDM. If they’ve already signed, we’ll let you know. Thanks!

Make a difference for game birds

Today marks the start of the pheasant shooting season, and the killing of millions of defenceless birds for so-called sport.

You can take action against the shooting industry by signing and sharing our petition to ban the cruel cages which are used to imprison pheasants and partridges who are used for breeding purposes.

Sign the petition now.

Keep up the pressure to ban the whip

Thank you to everyone who has written to their MP, asking them to support our campaign to ban the whip. So far, 85 MPs have signed an Early Day Motion backing our campaign.

Please take a few minutes to send a message to your MP, or if you have already done so, please ask friends and family to take action. Thank you.

Demand legal recognition of animal sentience!

Despite previous promises, the UK government has failed to introduce legislation recognising the sentience of animals – with just under 100 days to go until the end of the UK’s transition period for leaving the EU, the law must change in order to afford them better protection (as EU legislation will no longer apply). Please tweet your MP with our graphic and ask them to support a #BetterDealForAnimals.

Animal Aid’s Christmas Festivals cancelled

It is with a heavy heart that we have taken the decision to cancel this year’s Christmas Festivals in Exeter and London. The current Covid-19 situation means that our live festivals are not possible. We have explored the option to host an event online, but feel that this was not a workable replacement.

We will miss seeing you this year, but sincerely hope that in 2021 we can once again welcome you to the Christmas Festivals.
