Hi, Friends!
If you remember, a couple months ago, we did a random drawing with our email list to select three winners to have a Zoom Video Chat with me!
Because of everyone’s busy schedules, we ended up breaking it up into two calls.
First, I had the pleasure of chatting with Pat and her dog, Piper! Pat is retired and previously worked for NASA on the mission control staff for space launches. How cool is that? She’s also a voter registration agent who works to get more people registered in her community.

A few weeks after my call with Pat and Piper, I met (virtually) with Roger and Michaela — and was lucky enough to have another furry friend join — Michaela’s cat! Michaela is a community organizer who advocates for working families and Roger works at Central New Mexico Community College.

It was so wonderful to get the chance to speak with these fabulous New Mexicans.
We talked about how different elections are this year, the increasing threat of voter suppression, and the best resources for voting information.
Remember that the deadline to register is October 6. And don’t forget to apply for your absentee ballot online!
