My name is Shawna Anderson, and I am running for the Iowa State Legislature in rural Pottawattamie County. 

This is where the battle for the future of this country will take place. We have been told for years by pundits that Democrats can't win in rural areas.

This simply isn't true.

Democrats in rural areas throughout the country are gaining traction, raising money and flipping voters. Iowa House District 22, where I am running, is no exception. 

We can win back rural America and build a strong Democratic majority. We just have to invest in those races now.
