John,

We've said it before, but it bears repeating: Dan Sullivan has a $2.3 million cash-on-hand advantage.

This isn't surprising -- considering that he can call up his special interest mega-donors and corporate PACs to fill his war chest -- but it is worrying, and here's why:

He can use his massive war chest to falsely attack Dr. Al Gross and try to tear down our grassroots movement for change in Alaska.

And while the American Prospect says Alaska "now shows incumbent Republican Dan Sullivan running even in the polls against challenger Al Gross," that won't be enough to flip this seat. Tied polls favor the campaign with more resources to reach and persuade undecided voters.

The only way we can defeat Dan Sullivan, ditch Mitch McConnell, and flip the Senate is if we crush next week's end-of-quarter goal and close this crucial cash-on-hand gap.

So what do you say, John? Can you rush a donation before September 30th to close the gap?

Sullivan and his team have already launched their attacks on both TV and radio, and with just over a month until Election Day, we can only anticipate his ads will pick up.

We need to have the funds on hand to fight back and compete with his corporate backers, and in order to do that, we have to make sure we meet -- or exceed -- our goal for next week's FEC filing deadline.

Everyone -- including Sullivan -- will see the numbers that we bring in over this next week. Let's send a message that we're ready for whatever he throws at us.

This race is winnable, but only if we close the cash-on-hand gap. Contribute $5 or more to help us catch up ahead of our September 30th deadline.

Dr. Al Gross is a doctor, commercial fisherman, and a lifelong Alaskan. He's provided medical care to patients in the depths of the wilderness, prospected for gold, and faced off with multiple grizzly bears and is still here to tell the tale. In these uncertain times, it's never mattered more to send a doctor to Washington who can take on the failed status quo and deliver a real prescription for change.
