The truth is that Donald Trump could not have caused all of this destruction on his own. He has been supported and endorsed by Republicans up and down the ticket -- which is why we need to reimagine leadership across our nation, including right here in New York.
That is why I am so proud to support Dana Balter for Congress. Dana understands the struggles that many of us face when it comes to affording health care, living paycheck to paycheck, and fighting so that everyday Americans have a voice in the democratic process. This November will be about more than the presidency, it will be about restoring credibility and trust. Meanwhile, Dana has been a lifelong advocate with and for those who need support. After growing up and standing side-by-side with her brother, who has cognitive disabilities, Dana went on to help hundreds of people access support and services while working at a disability services nonprofit. This is just one example of the work she’s done to put people first and be a voice for others.
This race is going to be close. Dana has run an incredibly strong campaign and has proven herself as a force to be reckoned with. The polls show that it is a toss-up, which is why it is so important that we rally behind her.
