Even after death, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg continues to make history. Today, in a moving ceremony, she became the first woman and Jewish person to lie in state in the U.S. Capitol.
As we prepare to protect her legacy from Republican assault this fall, we must not let the politics of the moment drown out the accomplishments of this incredible woman, born and raised in our borough.
Tonight, the Brooklyn Young Democrats Women's Caucus, along with Amplify Her and the New York State Young Democrats Caucus of Color, is holding Tribute to RBG and a screening of the film "On The Basis of Sex," a biographical legal drama based on the life of Justice Ginsburg.
